Wanted to introduce a person in our company to jSeamless. Just a brief look, to see if they bite. This is how it went:
Me: Check out this page
http://www.jseamless.orgCo-worker (90 secs later): I do not want to wait for it loading the page any longer
Me: Yeah it took a little while to completely load
Co-worker: How many times do I have to press re-connect?
Me: Worked for me the first time I did it...
Co-worker: Seamless UI indeed..
Co-worker:
An error has occurred in the application: Error - Error #2037
org.jseamless.event.ClientException (Error - Error #2037) Trace Follows:
org.jseamless.flex.ClientConnection.processEvent(ClientConnection.java:448)
org.jseamless.flex.ClientConnection.processClientData(ClientConnection.java:231)
org.jseamless.flex.JSLFlexServlet.doRequest(JSLFlexServlet.java:132)
org.jseamless.flex.JSLFlexServlet.doGet(JSLFlexServlet.java:75)
Me: oh, nevermind then...
I have not used jSeamless myself yet, I am not a strong supporter.. but I like what it tries to do. However I think it would really be a good idea to make the first impression of the framework (well, the homepage) as easily accessible as possible... We are sitting on cable here and for me the front page also loaded over half a minute.
It looks nice.. it really does. But I wanted to just raise a concern...
Edit: Oh I guess an update is coming already... Just read on the homepage - "With the anticipated move from Beta to Release Candidate 1 we will be releasing an entirely new web site. We've gone through a lot of changes since this site was released, but it has served us well. This site has been running on Beta 3 of jSeamless for almost a year now. It has worked well for us, but there is so much more we want to provide. More details will be coming soon."
