Hi DarkFrog. We briefly touched base on the jME forum, I was posting about CrystalUI, kind of an abstract UI like jSeamless is. Just want to say that I've joined up here.

Anyway, very impressed with jSeamless and all the work that you do here. I've got some demo applications I will be developing soon for some other projects of mine, and jSeamless is going to save the day. Especially the web implementation you have done is music to my ears. I have a large user base for my projects, so this will be very good exposure for jSeamless. At least I think  Grin

On another topic, my own CrystalUI project, is somewhat different from what jSeamless is, although it does seem to be an abstract UI framework. My goal for Crystal is to break a few boundaries. The API in my vision is going to be even higher level then jSeamless. Very high level OO stuff. Mozzila Aurora kind of stuff, but less browser centric.

I started work on regular vision pattern recognition. I'm building a MultiTouch interface with only a webcam and your hand. The MT UI will detect the entire hand, its orientation and track movement without anything else required. The MT UI implementation is built to track the hand movement from the palm, down to every knuckle in the fingers. Weather the hand is in the air or on the table it will be able to translate your hand movements into the GUI space. I'm even going to try and get pressure sensing info through visual detection. We'll see how that goes  Huh On the higher level Crystal side, it already defines "adaptive gestures" as its basic input model. Adaptive because MT UI will adapt, and change gestures based on proximity to type of objects the user is interacting with. Lots of fun stuff. This is something I'm doing on the side when time permits or I need a break from the other projects.

Anyway, its great to meet some like-minded people.

Cheers,
mark...

Sounds very interesting.  I'd love to discuss more about your vision and give you a bit more depth of mine and see where we can help each other out.
